Description

Only one face survives. Two panels of plain plait are surrounded and divided by a flat-band moulding; one plait is a six-strand, the other a four-strand. The strands are plain and flat and the hole points are very sharply marked.

Discussion

The distinctive plain plait indicates that this piece could well be from the same workshop which produced Hart l and Sockburn 7 (Introduction, p. 30). A similar relationship is also seen in Dinsdale 2.
