Description

Part of one carved face survives. It has been dressed smooth and on one edge is a deeply incised line which divides the dressed from the rough surface. Part of a cross in relief, type B8, is surrounded by a wide ring, the outer line of which is deeply incised.

Discussion

This type of grave-cover is difficult to date, especially when only the cross-head survives and it is impossible to calculate the original proportions (cf. Darlington 5).
