Description

A (broad): One arm and part of the centre of a cross, type A2, survives on the only carved face.

Discussion

This cross type is characteristic of Monkwearmouth/Jarrow work (Jarrow 10-12 and 16; Monkwearmouth 4). It is not possible to say for how long this type was popular at these centres.
