Only one face is carved.
A (broad): The upper plane of the carving is surrounded by a wide flat curving frame edged by a narrow roll moulding. This encloses a curving band of two registers of simple pattern E, and on the right, curving in the opposite direction, are two registers of what are possibly meant to be the same pattern, although the terminal at the right ends in a single loop. The lower plane of the stone has been broken but is dressed.
By projecting the two curves, Adcock (1974, pl. 8) reconstructed this into an elaborate cruciform design with a diamond-shaped centre. This piece obviously belongs with the neat, miniature decoration of 9 and 17-20.
