Object type: Carved panel fragment
Measurements: H. 12.8 cm (5 in); W. 15.8 cm (6.2 in); D. 5.3 cm (2 in)
Stone type: Greyish orange (10YR 7/4) sparry matrix supported, very shelly oolite. Ooliths mainly hollow (0.2 to 0.5 mm). Shell debris up to 15 mm. Shells include bivalves and a high spired gastropod. Possibly Taynton Limestone Formation, Great Oolite Group, Middle Jurassic. Known locally as Minchinhampton weatherstone.

Fragment with complex pattern of two- and three-strand interlace, part of which consists of interlocking circles.
This small fragment could be from a grave-slab or a standing cross, but is probably from an architectural feature such as a screen panel.
