Church Dedication
Present Condition
Broken and damaged, only one face preserves any carving
Description

A small fragment with the only carving consisting of a single incised groove approximately 2 cm (0.8 in) wide; it is curved, echoing the contour of the outer edge, suggesting the fragment preserves the remains of a piece of outer moulding.

Discussion

The stone type and provenance of this piece suggests that it once formed part of the same cross-head as Pym Chair 1. However, its fragmentary size and lack of diagnostic detail mean its original function and date remains uncertain.
