Cross-head, probably of type B10 but with circular arm-pits; cross-shaft of slab-like proportions. All faces contain a single incomplete panel of ornament framed by a roll moulding.
A (broad): There is no border separating the ornament on the cross-head and cross-shaft. At the centre of the head is a cruciform head-pattern, type 2b (Fig. 7). This is surrounded by spiral-scroll ornament with pellets. On the shaft below is stopped-plait arranged in a manner which can be interpreted either as a single run of ring-chain, or as two parallel rows made up of linked rings, or irregular three-strand plain plait.
B and D (narrow): Irregular three-strand plain plait or linked rings, executed in stopped-plait technique.
C (broad): There are remains of a boss at the centre of the head. Only traces of the border moulding survive, together with vestigial remains of interlace ornament.
Spiral-scroll school (Introduction, pp. 33–8).
