Description
Reconstructed diameter of column 9 cm (3.5 in). The colonnette was part of a decorative scheme projecting 15.8 cm (6.2 in) from the wall-face.
Discussion
This architectural fragment probably comes from the tenth-century east end. But the capital (surviving height 15.5 cm (6 in)) is almost of cushion type and seems late.
Date
Late tenth or early eleventh century
