A (broad) : The edge moulding is plain, 3 cm wide at the top and 2.5 cm at the side, and contains part of a panel containing median-incised six-cord plait, in modelled strand.
B (narrow) and C (broad) : Recut.
D (narrow) : Surface recut, but the remains of an edge moulding on two adjacent sides.
The pattern was gridded on a 1-inch unit of measure. The interlace is open, in the manner of Bedale 1 (Ills. 10–13), and demonstrates that the Anglian tradition of cutting back space within plait work continued into the Viking period.
