A (broad) : A plate-head cross of type 11 with circular arm-pits and the cross standing 1 inch proud from the plate. The arms are short and splayed with flat tips. The cross has a narrow modelled edge moulding and within it a moulding of pellets each 0.5 inches wide. The face of the cross is plain. In the centre is a modelled ring around a concave cavity, 1 inch deep.
B (narrow) : Plain.
C (broad) : As face A but scabbled, and no inner row of pellets.
D (narrow) : Damaged.
E (top) : The flat top of the arm-tip has a narrow edge moulding. The panel within is plain and damaged.
This is a slightly more decorative version of Osmotherley 3 (Ill. 723) which Collingwood dated late. However the assured carving suggests an earlier period when expertise flourished.
