Description

A (broad) : Only one face is decorated, with an irregular incised type B6 cross with wedge-shaped arms. In its centre is a drilled hole. The cross measures 27.3 cm (10.7 in) high and 23.5 cm (9.2 in) wide. There is a slight chamfer on the corner.

Discussion

Appendix A item (stones dating from Saxo-Norman overlap period or of uncertain date).

This is a primitive piece and defies dating. Compare Kildale 3 (Ill. 1146).
