Description

Half of a plate-headed cross with arms of type E6 in relief and raised outer rim. Plain, but with a grooved ring boss at the centre of the head. Other faces not visible.

Appendix A item (stones dating from Saxo-Norman overlap period or of uncertain date).

This type of plain round-headed grave-marker seems to span the Conquest; compare Barningham 2 (Ills. 1132–6).
