Object type: Part of grave-marker
Measurements: H. 23 cm (9 in) W. 40 > 39.5 cm (15.7 > 15.5 in) D. 10 > 8.5 cm (4 > 3.3 in)
Stone type: A coarse, poorly sorted, feldspathic, micaceous, deltaic sandstone with prominent bedding features parallel to the main faces of the grave-marker. This is a very pale brown coloured stone (10YR 7/4) and has not been burnt. Stone source probably as Whitby 1

A (broad) : Part of a slab with the remains of a broad tapering flat shaft in high relief.
B and D (narrow) : The edges are dressed flat.
C (broad) : Scabbled on one side, but with a grooved vertical line in the surviving half.

Fragments such as this are impossible to assign to a close dating.
