The topmost register of paired scrolls survive from a double-stemmed tree-scroll.
Tree-scrolls are rare in the region. An early example is Northallerton 1 (Ill. 663), though this appears to resemble the later series of 'belated scrolls', for instance Chester-le-Street 9C in co. Durham (Cramp 1984, pl. 25, 132).
