(The description relies on Collingwood 1911, 277.)
A (broad) : The edge moulding is flat and very broad. Within it at each side is a narrower modelled moulding. The panel contains a damaged ring-knot.
B (narrow) : Dressed off.
C (broad) : The edge mouldings are very broad and contain a panel of closed circuit interlace in broad median-incised strand with no ground between.
D (narrow) : The edge mouldings are damaged. An upper panel has worn interlace of indeterminate pattern. Beneath a transverse moulding are the box-points of closed circuit interlace.
The ring-knot of face A is an Anglo-Scandinavian feature and common across the Viking settlements of northern England. See no. 3.
