Measurements: L. 25 cm (9.8 in) W. 18 > 15.3 cm (7.1 > 6 in) D. Built in
Stone type: Coarse-grained feldspathic gritstone, having well sorted, sub-angular grains. Very pale brown (10YR 7/4) with brownish yellow patch (10YR 6/6), an area of limonitic cement. Millstone Grit, Namurian, Upper Carboniferous, forms hill top areas to the south of Finghall, where it has been used as the main building stone.

The edge moulding is modelled and flanks a panel containing a two-cord twist in broad median-incised strand, closely woven. There are single pellet fillers at each side, each 1 inch in diameter.
The dense horror vacui design is typical of Anglo-Scandinavian pieces.
