Overview
Present Location
In south aisle of All Saints church, on the western window sill
Evidence for Discovery
Found within half a mile of the church and due west of it, in a field by a path in the area of Spofforth Haggs (information from Mr Woolton, church warden). Mr Woolton reported that part of the path is now gone, probably under a golf course, or ploughed up, but he believed that it was an ancient track between the abbeys of Fountains and Kirkstall.
Church Dedication
Present Condition
Broken but in good condition
Description

This is a slab dressed on both broad faces and more roughly finished on the sides. It has a large incised circle within which is a cross of type E8, also incised. The quality of the cutting is quite good.
