Description

A (broad): The stone is shaped with a semi-circular head with sharply carved base. The only carved face now visible shows a stemmed cross, type B6, in relief.

Discussion

This is either a foot- or head-stone. The rather inept carving and the form of the cross indicate a comparatively late date.

Date
Late ninth to early tenth century
