Only one face is carved.
A (broad): The stone has no frame. A median-incised cross of type G1 has a circular centre. Roundels at the centre and ends of the arms each enclose four triquetras in relief. In the lower quadrants are traces of an incomplete and illegible inscription.
Lindisfarne 30a-b and 32, both incised slabs, also include interlace filling within roundels. This could be a transition between the earlier incised type and Lindisfarne 38 with its cross of type D10 in relief. In Ireland crosses with expanded arms filled with interlace are tenth-century (Lionard 1961, 131-4).
