Overview
Present Location
High in south wall of nave at west end
Evidence for Discovery
Probably first mentioned by Hodgson (1862-8b)
Church Dedication
St Edwin
Present Condition
Very worn
Description

One face only is visible. This could be a face of a cross-shaft lying on its side with what was once the upper section enclosed by a swag at the right.

Discussion

This could have been part of a shaft of the same type as 6, but it is too weathered to be certain of its form or ornament.

Date
Uncertain
