Description

Capital, cut back to a straight edge on both sides for reuse in pigeon house. The capital has the remains of a projecting moulding at one side along the top, but most of this moulding is now only defined by an inscribed line. The flat-faced, wider moulding along the bottom projects 1.6 cm (0.6 in) from the face. The face of the capital curves in slightly towards the bottom moulding. The front face is undecorated.

Discussion

See Frocester Court 1. This capital is very similar in shape to no. 1, but lacks any decoration.
