Description

Hogback, type g, without end-beasts.

A (long): On the roof are three rows of tegulation type 9, bordered by a roll moulding at the gable-end. On the wall below the curved overhanging eaves are four demi-figures with long curling hair. All have their right hands folded across their chests and the figure at the extreme right has the head bent to fit below the eaves; he/she may be holding a ring. Fragments of key pattern are placed between the two central figures and at the extreme right of the composition. Below the figures is the undulating body of a serpent whose head, seen from above, is visible in the lower right corner.

C (long): On the roof are three rows of tegulation, type 9. Beneath the curved overhanging eaves are four demi-figures set over the curling body of a serpent. All have long curling hair and a right arm bent across the chest. Set around the second figure from the right are fragments of key pattern.
