Description

Only one face is visible.

A: A little of the plain edge moulding remains at one side. Within the panel is a fragment of interlace, not certainly identifiable, using broad, flat strands.

Discussion

Collingwood's free ring (Collingwood 1907, fig. m on 387) may in fact be a Carrick Bend, or an asymmetrical loop. Interlace with flat strands of this type is found on late Anglian pieces, such as Kirby Misperton 1–3 (Ills. 508–13).
