Only the broad faces are decorated.
A (broad): There is no edge moulding. The large, long-stemmed cross is cut in low relief. Its head has angular splayed arms, type B6, wider than the stem. The lower arm has a slightly curved splay.
C (broad): Identical with face A, but in lower relief.
The slab has a very close parallel in Minster 28 (Ills. 115–20). Both can only be dated by their contexts. Such plain cross slabs are an austere York version of the East Midlands series. The presence of carving on both broad faces suggests this may have been an upright slab in the Manx manner.
