On two edges is a flat, plain moulding. Within the panel is a ring-knot with four return loops; the strands are broad and flat.
The ring-knot is ubiquitous in Viking colonial art. It is common in northern England as a means of creating an illusion of complexity by the simplest of closed circuit motifs.
