'Two pieces of Anglo-Saxon knotwork built into the wall inside of the tower' (ibid.).

Discussion

Appendix C item (lost stones for which no illustration has survived).

This does not appear to be a reference to Lincoln St Mary-le-Wigford 2 in the tower arch, which had been long known. Unless one of them is represented by Lincoln St Mary-le-Wigford 7, these fragments have not been identified and may be hidden by modern fittings within the tower space.
