In the York Philosophical Society's Annual Report for 1905, there is a reference to the donation by the Rev. Barnabas Binks of 'Two fragments of Saxon cross from Northallerton' ((—) 1906, 31). This appears to be an error relating to the two pieces from Welbury donated to the museum at that date but not otherwise recorded in any of the Society's annual reports (see Welbury 1). There are no sculptures from Northallerton in the Yorkshire Museum, which holds the collection of the Philosophical Society.
