Stone type: Fine-grained feldspathic sandstone with well rounded sub-angular grains. Very pale brown (10YR 8/4). Stone provenance as Whitby 1 (abbey, St Peter and St Hilda)

Two faces broken; fairly crisp
Description
Fragment of an arm, type A10.
A (broad) : A narrow incised edge moulding, 1.8 cm wide, runs along the unbroken sides of the arm.
B (end) : Two deeply incised edge mouldings, the plain surface smoothly dressed.
C (broad) : Plain; rougher surface, but could be original.
D (neck) and F (lower) : Broken.
E (upper) : Plain.
Discussion
Part of the Plain Cross series. The arm tip is chamfered.
