A (broad): Part of a single roll moulding survives on the left. The face is divided by a horizontal roll moulding. (i) The shadow of what could possibly be an animal as on 1, face A. (ii) Two registers of the design on 2, faces A and C: complete closed circuit pattern F with surrounded elements, outside strands and central twist. The terminals have combined E and F loops.
The possible animal design links this stone with 1, as does the fine cutting; the interlace design is, however, the same as that on 2 and at Alnmouth.
