Object type: Abacus fragment
Measurements: H. 5.3 cm (2.1 in); W. 8.2 cm (3.2 in); D. 10.8 cm (4.2 in)
Stone type: Very pale orange (10YR 8/2), sparry oolite, partly grain supported, partly matrix supported with many hollow ooliths ranging in size from 0.3 mm to 1.2 mm. Fairly shelly probably up to 5% shell debris. Cleeve Cloud Member, Birdlip Limestone Formation, Inferior Oolite Group, Middle Jurassic.

Fragment of abacus that is square in plan. The profile is similar to St Oswald 19 and 20, but the moulding across the face is flatter and the face is stepped-in slightly below the moulding. A tiny fragment of the chamfer survives.
