Object type: Impost or capital fragment(?)
Measurements: H. 20.8 cm (8.2 in); W. 23.7 cm (9.3 in); D. 8.2 cm (3.2 in)
Stone type: Very pale orange (10YR 8/2) bioclastic, sparry limestone, clast supported. Clasts consist of calcite debris, possibly echinoid or crinoid debris along with spines and some shell debris. Most clasts are up to 5 mm in size but a few shells up to 1 cm. Probably Crickley Member, Birdlip Limestone Formation, Inferior Oolite Group, Middle Jurassic.

Fragment of what may be an impost or capital from a square pier or jamb, with a similar profile to St Oswald 19 and 20. The top face is roughly tooled and the side face carries axe marks. The face is decorated with a slightly flat-fronted concave moulding, with deep V-shaped grooves above and below.
