Only one face is visible.
The edge moulding is broken, but a vertical run of pellets survives at one corner. Within is a damaged ring-knot or ring-twist element executed in median-incised strands. A transverse bar crosses the centre of the ring.
The use of bold pellets and free rings is a feature of Anglo-Scandinavian work in the city of York. It may even constitute a workshop, recognized by this very limited repertoire. (See Chap. 10, Plait and Pellet Group).
