Description

A (top): There is a double edge moulding, both cabled: an outer broad cable, and a slimmer inner cable twisting in opposite directions, forming a kind of chevron. Within the panel are terminals of an almost obliterated interlace with internal pellet fillers; the strands are median-incised.

B (side): There are faint traces of a possible median-incised strand.

Discussion

The bold pattern with a pellet betraying horror vacui places the stone in that unambitious group represented by so many of the pieces from this site. The cable moulding resembles the hogbacks. nos. 14–15.
