Found in archaeological excavation north of Winchester cathedral in 1964 in rubble deriving from north wing added to nave of Old Minster during tenth century; Final Phase 69 (Provisional Phase 1000), mid to late twelfth-century

Present Condition
One bed face survives; the decorated surface is battered and overlain with plaster.
Description
This sliver has a diagonal dressed face to the right. The surface has two flat-topped horizontal mouldings, 2.5 cm (1 in) and 1 cm (0.4 in) wide. An almost triangular element hangs from the lower moulding, with its left side almost parallel to the dressed face. The interior of the triangle is filled with plaster.
