Stone type: Fine-grained, well sorted, yellowish-brown (10YR 5/6) micaceous sandstone, showing slight traces of having been burnt. Stone provenance probably as Whitby 1 (abbey, St Peter and St Hilda)

Description
Cross-arm, possibly type A10.
A–F: Both broad faces and the end of the arm are smoothly finished, but it is broken where the lower surface would have met the neck of the shaft and where the arm would have joined the centre of the cross.
Discussion
This seems to be part of a similar cross to nos. 22 and 30, and since it is so worn it is possible that there were once incised outlines around part of the arm.
