Stone type: A fine- to medium-grained, well sorted, feldspathic, micaceous deltaic sandstone, with a very pale brown colour (10YR 7/4). Stone provenance as Whitby 1 (abbey, St Peter and St Hilda)

Description
A–E: One arm of a small plain cross, type E10.
Discussion
This shapeless piece could have been a cross-arm or possibly could have served on its own as a grave-marker. See also Whitby nos. 17 and 30.
